Cookie Policy

We, at Primary Colours, appreciate our own personal privacy and it is only right therefore that we should be committed to respecting and protecting yours.  Our privacy policy explains how we collect, use and protect information about you.  By using this  website, you are consenting to us your information as described in our privacy policy.

We will always handle information in compliance with the Data Protection Act (1998)

1) Who we are.
We are William and Margrethe Stuttaford, trading as Primary Colours.  We trade from 50 Broad St, Lyme Regis, Dorset, DT7 3QF.  You can contact us by writing to the above address, ringing us on 01297 445655 or emailing us at..........info@primary colours.com

2) How we collect information.
We collect your data and personal information when

  1. You visit or browse our website. We use cookies and similar technologies such as web server logs which tell us how you are using the website.  They do not give personally identifiable information about you.  Please see Section 5.
  2. You order from us online. This will include your name, address, email address and telephone numbers. We do not have access to your card details.
  3. You take part in any online competitions or surveys.
  4. You interact with us on Facebook or other social media channels
  5. You contact us offline by coming into the shop, by ringing us up or by writing to us and giving us your details.

3) What we use your information for
We use your information primarily to process your order, so we know where to send the order confirmation, the despatch note and, of course, the goods.  We need your telephone numbers to ring you if there are any problems with your order itself or its delivery.   We may also use your information for marketing purposes to send out details of our products and services.  You have the right at any time not to be contacted for marketing purposes. To opt out, please contact us.  We may use your information internally for data analysis to try and improve our range of products and our customer service.

4) Sharing your information
We hate the idea of sharing your information with anyone.  However some sharing is inevitable.  For example we have to share your details with our payment providers, when your payment is processed. We have to give out some of your details, your address and telephone numbers, to couriers for delivery purposes.  We have also in the past put a supplier directly in touch with a customer when we had a problem that we could not sort out ourselves.

We will never though disclose, rent, trade or sell your personal data to any third party for their marketing purposes.

It is possible, sometime in the future, that we will sell Primary Colours.  Information about you would then be passed onto the new owners.  It is also possible that we may have to disclose personal information if asked to by the police or the courts.
