Homemade Seashell and Button Gifts For Relatives

This is a fabulous idea by Amanda Krueger that we came across on Flickr. These little hearts would make adorable gifts for friends and family, and can be easily put together by the children.

There is nothing more special than a homemade gift, especially when all the little trinkets on it are handpicked and arranged by the giver.

We are spoilt for choice when it comes to shells on the South Coast and they would look beautiful arranged as they are or even painted pretty colours.

To make them, all you need is a collection of shells and/or buttons (what a great excuse for a day at the seaside) and a salt dough recipe like this one.

Mould the salt dough into heart shapes, add your trinkets and don’t forget to leave a hole at the top for a ribbon if you want to hang them!
