DELIVERY
We charge £5 for post and packing for orders less than £100. Above £100, it’s free.
We use two carriers, either UPS or Royal Mail/Parcelforce.
UPS have a pick-up point in the ironmonger shop down the road, so your parcel will be collected that day provided we get it there before midday. We use their two working day service which, for a small parcel costs us about £8.
The Post Office in Lyme has sadly closed down. Occasionally we will take a parcel to Uplyme Post Office on our way into work next day and post it first class Royal Mail for small parcels or Parcelforce 48 hour service for larger parcels. It generally works out marginally cheaper than UPS.
Sadly our insurers won’t let us send goods outside the UK.
Local customers are welcome to pick orders up from the shop. Please give us an hour or two to get it ready.
Please note we can not guarantee delivery times as, once we pass your parcel to Royal Mail or UPS, it is out of our hands. Sometimes things do get delayed so please allow 4 working days (preferably strike-free days) after receiving our despatch email before asking us to check it out with the carrier. If something is delayed or lost in transit, the limitation of our liability is the purchase price of the goods.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your delivery instructions. If you give us an incorrect delivery address (including post code), we are not liable if you do not receive the goods or if they are delayed. Similarly, if you give us special delivery instructions (for example, leave with neighbour or in garage), it will be your responsibility if the goods are lost or damaged as a result your instructions being followed. Once the goods have been delivered to you, they are at your risk and we will not be liable for any damage to them.
