How To Make Patterned Paper Fish

To make this fish you need one large sheet of paper and several paper ribbons in different colours, as well as some scissors.

Method:

  1. Fold the large the sheet into two and cut it as shown in the picture above to make the outline of a fish. You will need the fold to be slightly over to one side to leave room for the tail.
  2. Make horizontal cuts along the fold as shown in the picture below.
  3. Unfold the paper and weave in the coloured ribbons vertically, using alternating cuts like the picture shows.
  4. Once you have finished, use scissors to shape the fins.
