Outdoor Fun With Popping Paint Balloons!
It might get you covered in paint but it’s worth it; popping paint and glitter filled balloons! This activity from newyoungmum.com requires a bit of advance planning to set up and isn’t one you can just pull together. However it’s not difficult and takes no longer than twenty minutes to get ready.
You will need:
- Balloons
- Variety of Paint Colours
- Glitter
- Balloon Pump
- Large paper roll to pop your balloons on
- Newspaper/floor covering
- Variety of tools for popping your balloons i.e. screwdriver, scissors, drawing pins.
First you need to get all your balloons, paint and glitter at the ready. It’s easier to use normal sized balloons as when you squeeze the paint in it drops to the bottom rather than hanging around the top.
Squeeze a generous amount of paint into each balloon and some glitter.
With your pump fill the balloon with some air. You can blow the balloons up but only if the paint has gone right to the bottom.
Mix and match with your balloons; some paint, some glitter and some both as it totally adds to the surprise of when you pop the balloons.
This activity needs to be done outside as paint can literally fly anywhere, and lay down some newspaper/paper/something to cover the ground with unless you don’t mind paint getting there.
Roll out some paper for your balloon popping and place all your balloons on top of the paper. Once you’re all set up, it’s time to get popping!
