Recycling Fun! Make An Elephant From A Milk Bottle
Need an idea for a rainy afternoon with a toddler? Try this gorgeous recycled elephant activity from the blog ‘There and back again…a mother’s tale’ for an afternoon of crafty fun.
Raid your recycling – reuse those empty milk bottles big and small to make a little family of elephants together.
Instead of getting in a messy pickle with gluey fingers, try decorating them with some stickers, washi tape, googly eyes or whatever you like. Be creative!
You Will Need:
- Milk bottles
- Scissors
- Glue
- Tissue paper
- Or stickers
- Washi tape
- Pom poms
- Googly eyes
Simply follow these steps to start your own elephant family, use big and small bottles if you have them and just take care to cut any rough edges to smooth them before your little ones get stuck in too.
- Wash up a bottle and let it drain
- Cut it off at the handle carefully with a knife or scissors
- Cut a “U” shape from the sides to make the legs
- Let your toddler decorate one and decorate one yourself for parent and baby elephants!
