VIDEO: How To Make A Mini Allotment

Spark the kids’ interest in gardening with this mini allotment project from B&Q! Watch the video below for full instructions and a demonstration to create your very own mini herb garden.

You will need lolly sticks, glue, a shoebox with a lid, scissors, corrugated paper, sticky tape, paint, artificial grass and whatever herbs you like!

In this example, B&Q have used basil, rosemary and mint with a few artificial daises. They have also used a mini spray bottle of water that can be tucked away in the mini shed.

It’s a great little project that not only looks brilliant, but also can help your little ones learn about gardening and how to keep plants alive. Plus you can use the herbs in the kitchen to make their dinner!
