Carnotaurus was a carnivorous dinosaur, around 8m in length. It had a very short snout, two distinctive horns on top of its head and particularly tiny arms.

The dimetrodon lived in the Permian age, about 280 million years ago, so way before most other dinosaurs.  It was a large carnivore, up to 4m in length, feeding on fish and amphibians.  The sail on its back is thought to have been used for courtship or possibly thermoregulation.

Megalodon was a species of giant mackerel shark that is thought to have grown up to 24m in length, that's nearly the size of a blue whale. A complete skeleton has never been found, so size estimates have been based on tooth size (up to 18cm in this case). In fact, the word 'megaladon' means large tooth.

Monolophosaurus was a mid-sized carnivore at about 5–5.5 metres (16–18 ft) long and weighed 475 kilograms (1,047 lb), living in the Mid-Jurassic Period, 180 million years ago. Monolophosaurus means single crested lizard.
