Grimms is a family-owned German business.The products are either made in Germany or in small independent workshops elsewhere in Europe. This one was crafted in Bosnia. They are then brought back to Germany to be painted by hand in bright and colourful child friendly non-toxic paints.

Each item is unique and almost everything has been sawn and sanded in a variety of beautiful woods, including Alder, Lime, Beech and Maple, all sourced from sustainable European forests. (FSC Certified )

Grimms Large 12 Piece Rainbow

One of Grimms best sellers, the creative possibilites that can come with this iconic piece are indeed endless. Take the rainbow apart and you have twelve separate pieces to stack , balance, build with and admire.

Please note: this rainbow is cut out from a slice of lime wood by hand in a workshop in Bosnia.  It is not a mass-produced item made in some high-tech factory in China. This means that the arches will be ever so slightly variable.  Some may be a tiny bit thicker than others.  Some may not quite be symmetrical.  They will stack on each other perfectly but the arches from one rainbow may well not be interchangeable with the arches from another.  Each rainbow is unique.

In addition, the wood is stained, not painted.  So you will be able to see and feel the grain of the wood and any eyes in it.  These inconsistencies in the wood will mean that the uptake of the stain will not be totally uniform, so there may well be areas that are lighter or darker in colour than surrounding areas.
