Monolophosaurus was a mid-sized carnivore at about 5–5.5 metres (16–18 ft) long and weighed 475 kilograms (1,047 lb), living in the Mid-Jurassic Period, 180 million years ago. Monolophosaurus means 'single crested lizard.
